PUBG Mobile's current stable release is V4.6, the Midnight Hunters update published in September 2026. At the same time, PUBG Mobile has already opened V4.7 Beta 1 testing, so players are seeing information from two branches of the game. The distinction matters: V4.6 is the live version to use for current gameplay advice, while V4.7 beta features may change before their final release.

V4.6 Midnight Hunters is the live update
PUBG Mobile's official September update introduced the Midnight Hunters theme, built around a Hunters-versus-Vampires concept. The publisher's event material also lists an APK download of about 1.2 GB for the themed content page, although the actual update size on your device can differ by store, region, installed resources and optional downloads.
That distinction is important for storage guides. PUBG Mobile often downloads additional maps, textures, voice packs and event resources after the core app update, so one headline APK number is not the final amount every player needs.
ACE32 received a meaningful balance change
In the V4.6 material, PUBG Mobile increased the ACE32's base damage from 46 to 47. The update also improves firing animation and screen-shake behaviour and reduces horizontal and vertical recoil. These changes are intended to make the rifle more stable in sustained fire.
For players who ignored the ACE32 because of its handling, the recoil changes may matter more than the one-point damage increase. Test it with your normal grip and sensitivity configuration rather than copying an old loadout guide written for a previous patch.
Other 7.62 mm rifles were adjusted
PUBG Mobile also describes reduced camera and animation shake for a group of 7.62 mm rifles including the AKM, M762, Honey Badger, Mk47 and Groza. Firing animation speed and recoil behaviour were adjusted for improved burst and full-auto stability.
This does not mean all of these weapons now behave identically. Fire rate, damage profile, attachment support and recoil patterns still differ. But older “best gun” comparisons may need re-testing because the feel of several popular rifles changed together.
New vehicle: the inflatable boat
V4.6 adds a portable inflatable boat. PUBG Mobile describes it as a four-seat vehicle that can be rowed from passenger seats, with more players rowing increasing speed. It can be picked up, deployed in valid locations and then retrieved into a backpack again.
That creates new tactical possibilities around water crossings because the squad is no longer completely dependent on a vehicle already spawned near the shoreline. The trade-off is inventory planning and the time needed to deploy or retrieve it.
What is V4.7 Beta 1?
PUBG Mobile's official news feed lists V4.7 Beta 1 as announced on September 23, 2026. A beta is a test build, not a promise that every feature will arrive unchanged in the live release. Players should therefore avoid treating beta leaks, screenshots or third-party videos as final patch notes.
For a reliable update page, the right workflow is to keep V4.6 as the stable reference and add V4.7 details only when they are documented by PUBG Mobile's own beta announcement or later final release notes.
Should you update immediately?
For the normal live client, staying on the current stable version is usually important for matchmaking compatibility, events and security fixes. Before updating on a phone with limited space, check free storage and use Wi-Fi if your data plan is restricted.
If you play competitively, do not change sensitivity, graphics and control layout at the same time as a major update. Test one variable at a time in training so you can tell whether a new recoil feel comes from the patch or from your settings.
What to check after V4.6 installs
- confirm that your preferred maps and resource packs are still downloaded;
- test ACE32 and your usual 7.62 mm rifles in training;
- review graphics and frame-rate settings because updates can change device presets;
- check microphone and voice-chat permissions if squad audio stops working;
- verify remaining storage after optional resources finish downloading;
- avoid unofficial APK mirrors when the official store or PUBG Mobile download is available.
V4.6 versus older guides
Any article or video that recommends weapons using recoil data from an older build should be read with caution. V4.6 specifically changes multiple rifles. Likewise, movement or rotation advice involving water crossings now has another option because of the inflatable boat.
Is V4.7 already the “latest version”?
It is the latest publicly announced beta branch, but it is not the current stable version. Calling V4.7 “the latest PUBG Mobile update” without the word beta would confuse users who simply want to know what is live in the App Store or Google Play.
